7 Party Game Ideas For Kids That Everyone Will Love

Pass the Parcel
A party classic, Pass the Parcel is a favourite amongst many. We’re sure you remember playing it yourself as a child, and the excitement and suspense of waiting for the music to stop whilst you are holding on to the parcel!
Wrap up the prize with multiple layers of tissue paper or wrapping paper. The children will sit in a circle and pass the parcel around to the child to their left, once the music stops the child with the parcel rips off a layer of paper. The game continues until the last layer is removed revealing the prize!
Musical Statues
Another classic, Musical Statues is an excellent pick to get everyone up and moving. Perfect for letting off some of that party energy! Music is played for the children to dance along to, and once the music stops whoever is still moving is eliminated. The game continues until there is only one left, this is the winner.

Sleeping Lions

All the children are asked to lie down on the floor and act like sleeping lions, once down they cannot move. One child is then selected as the ‘hunter’ and tasked with walking around trying to wake or make the sleeping lions laugh. Once a lion moves they’re tapped and get up to join the hunters. The last lion asleep wins!
Pin the Tail on the Donkey
Pin the tail on the donkey is a game that goes back years, however, it has stood the test of time and is still a party classic! Each child lines up and is blindfolded, in turns they pin the tail on a photo of the donkey, aiming for the correct spot. Whoever is closest wins!

Scavenger Hunt
This one is great if you have a larger area to work with, and is definitely one to get your party guests excited! The rules are quite simple, hide a range of small prizes around the room, these could be sweets or party favours. From there the children can hunt them out until all the prizes have been found! This game is easily adaptable depending on the age range of your party guests, making the prizes easier or harder to find. You can also choose prizes that follow your party themes such as dinosaurs or pirates.
Balloon Relay Race
The Balloon Relay Race is one of the noisier party games, with many balloons being popped in the process. The rules are quite simple, divide the children into two teams, and on the sound of the claxon one member from each team runs up to the basket and picks out a balloon. The child will then sit on the balloon until it pops. Only once the balloon has popped may the next member of the team run up to take a balloon. The team with no members left to pop a balloon wins.
